Our Community
St Thomas the Apostle Greensborough North
A strong sense of identity and belonging supports both the wellbeing and learning outcomes of young people. At St. Thomas, we prioritise Parents as Partners in the education, care, and wellbeing of each student, recognising the shared responsibility in nurturing the next generation.
Our school serves as a central hub for the community, promoting personal growth, cultural identity, and a strong sense of belonging. Through our traditions, values, and relationships, students and families are encouraged to connect and shape their sense of identity.
Clear communication between home and school is crucial for fostering effective learning partnerships. When families and school staff share a common language around learning and community, students thrive in both school and home environments. Effective collaboration and understanding between school and families are key to our shared success.

Parents & Friends Association
The St. Thomas Parents & Friends Association (PFA) works to foster a strong sense of community and wellbeing by organising social events that bring families together. The committee plays a crucial role in raising funds for projects and resources that benefit students. Past events have included luncheons, footy day celebrations, and stalls for Mother's and Father's Day, alongside raffles and other fundraising initiatives.
The Parents & Friends Association warmly invites all parents to get involved. Joining the committee is a fulfilling way to contribute to the St. Thomas community, offering opportunities to meet other families, make new connections across different year levels, and actively support our school. Most importantly, your involvement directly benefits your child/children’s experience at St. Thomas.

School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council plays a vital role in supporting the governance and operation of Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Melbourne. It serves as a platform for collaboration, providing parish and school communities with opportunities for consultation and meaningful participation.
As an advisory body, the council upholds the Catholic tradition of offering guidance with mutual respect, integrity, and a shared commitment to our faith.
Meeting regularly throughout the school year, the council’s primary role is to support the Principal by offering informed advice on school matters and broader educational issues. Serving as a member is a valuable way to contribute to your child’s education without requiring a significant time commitment. Details about nominations are shared via the school newsletter.
